Hogtown
Mascots offers the following accessories for purchase.
Water
Resistant Carrying bag – Custom designed to fit your mascot.
Nicer than a box or garbage bag.
Ice
Vests – Constructed to hold up to 4 ice gel packs. Keeps your
body temp in check. Brrr.
Fans
– Cooling fans are discreetly installed into your
mascot so that there is no visible vent hole at the top of the mascot’s
head. Battery packs are also securely installed and hidden to prevent
accidental injury.
| A Change of
Clothes – Even mascots want to keep up with
trends or dress up for Halloween. Hogtown
Mascots keeps all patterns of your mascot in the event that
additional clothing is required at a later date. We can also
make mascot feet with removable covers so that you don’t have
to invest in entirely new shoes if you want to change the style
or appearance of the mascot. |

| Props – Custom
designed props and accessories are also available. All items are
made proportionately to work with your individual mascot. After
all, they say accessories make the mascot. |

Puppets / Stuffed
Animals – We can create an exact replica of your
mascot to be used for prizes, promotional use or as prototypes for
mass production. Sort of like cloning but without the genetic drift.

Cleaning
We
can help keep your mascot looking like new. Although we do provide
cleaning instructions with each mascot costume, many clients like to
take advantage of our professional cleaning service.
After
a major event or at the end of your season, send us your mascot and we
will clean* and freshen it – inside and out – ready for your next
event. And if you want, we will also properly store your mascot for you
(instead of the trunk of your car!), to protect it from dust, moisture or
other damage.

we spot treat stains, we cannot guarantee that all stains will be
completely removed depending on the size, age and type of stain.*

Maintenance
After
each use, wipe out the inside of the mascot head with a cloth and warm soapy
water to keep the head clean and fresh. Do not use perfumes or
deodorants on the mascot costume. These substances can damage or
discolor the fabric and irritate other performers with allergies or
sensitivities.
Check
the following items for wear and tear after each use:

Zippers

Hooks
-
Velcro
or other fasteners

Seams
-
Shoe
Soles
-
Scratches
(on plastic parts like eyes, noses, etc.)
By
making minor repairs as needed, you will keep your mascot costume in
prime condition for a long time.
Clean
any spots on the mascot with a damp cloth. Portable stain removers,
such as Shout™ wipes, are handy for small stain emergencies. The sooner
any stain is treated, the easier it will come out.
Never
store your mascot costume while it is still damp. Always make sure the
mascot costume is completely dry before putting it away.
Following
these maintenance tips will keep your mascot in optimal condition and
provide a much more pleasant experience for those wearing the costume.

Mascots is
committed to making 'greener' mascots, and we don't mean
frogs!
Our Remascot™ program allows us
to recover some of the component parts from old mascots
and reuse the materials in the construction of new
mascots. This reduces the amount of fabric, foam and other
materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. That's
good for the environment - and for frogs.
For an example of reusing scrap
material, just take a look at Froggy in our gallery.
He was constructed entirely from leftover and reclaimed
materials. Now that's something to leap for joy about!

So what exactly do we do with old
mascots?
Hogtown Mascots can
restore, renovate or re-purpose any existing mascot and make it even
better! Our skilled professionals can assess your current mascot costume
and provide you with suggestions for improvement and updating. The
original mascot below (center) was traded in for a newer model. Keeping the same design elements in mind we were able to
provide the client with a lightweight, updated mascot (right) that
maintained the spirit of their event!
In
addition to the redesign, Hogtown Mascots reclaimed the old mascot and
re-used some of the components to create a new mascot (left) which
was donated to a
charitable organization to help with their fund-raising efforts.
